Is it okay if my child has no basketball or cheerleading experience?

Yes! Upward® is committed to giving every child an equal opportunity to learn & play. Teams are equally built based on evaluation scores. A substitution schedule is followed by every team to help ensure every player plays at least half of the game. Players also play against others of similar ability (man-to-man defense).

What does the registration fee include?

The registration fee includes a reversible jersey, T-shirt, Scripture Learning CD, car magnet, acces to TeamUpward.com, and an end of the season gift.

Is there a multiple child discount?

No, we do not have a multiple child discount because we are a self-funding league through player registrations & generous donations which cover our expenses & keeps your registration fee down. But, please do not let money stand in the way of your participation. We can work out a payment plan or possibly a scholarship.

May I request a teammate or coach for my child?

Due to the size of the league, we try to honor carpool or coach requests but cannot make any guarantees. We will be honoring practice night exclusions and coach/child links.

What are the practice times?

Basketball practice times are 5:30, 6:30, & 7:30PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays for grades 1-8. Lower grades practice in the early slots. Kindergarten practices & plays on Saturdays only.

If I have a child playing basketball & a cheerleading daughter, will they practice on the same night?
